I’ve decided to pickup this series after issue #2 and the introduction of Calica, a new Thundercat - or at least what appears to be a new Thundercat.
Fleeing through space to escape their dying home world, the ThunderCats were attacked en route by their mortal enemies, the Mutants of Plun-Darr. After diverting their damaged flagship to a planet called Third Earth, the surviving ThunderCats now strive to rebuild their society in harmony with the new world’s natives. But the Mutants, determined to possess the ThunderCats’ mystical gem, the Eye of Thundera, have tracked them down – and they’ve also forged an alliance with Mumm-Ra, the devil-priest of Third Earth!
Now the ThunderCats, led by an inexperienced Lion-O, must band together as never before to protect their legacy from this combined enemy. But will they be able to withstand the onslaught of Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living, once he sets his eyes upon them?

Finished issue 1. A nice backstory and some history of the Thundercats, who find themselves stranded in third earth after their ship crash lands. Off to issue 2.
ReplyDeleteThe mutants attacks the Cats and lose. The Thundercats explore the mutant ship and salvage for parts, they discovered a new Thundorian, Calica. The final panel show our new female protagonist eyes glowing and evil red as she embraces Lion-o for confront. A trap has been set?
ReplyDeleteFinished issue 3. Lionel and Kalika become closer. Snarf enters the scene. The ThunderCats explore a parallel universe discovered in a portal that contains ancient artifacts. They decide to leave these as their security may be compromised and pantry dual. The final panel has the monkeys entering the scene. onto issue four
